Monthly Stipend: ₹24,000 + ₹5,000/month for local travel
GIZ India is inviting applications for an Intern under the Energy Storage for Renewable Energy Integration in India (StoREin) project. The project is jointly implemented with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and leading research organizations including Fraunhofer IEE (Germany), IIT Bombay, TERI, and WRI India.
The internship offers an opportunity to work on renewable energy integration, energy storage technologies, policy analysis, research, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge management while contributing to India’s clean energy transition.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on renewable energy, energy storage technologies, and market trends.
- Study energy markets, renewable energy integration, and policy and regulatory frameworks.
- Assist in preparing technical reports, policy briefs, presentations, and knowledge products.
- Support the planning and coordination of meetings, webinars, workshops, and technical events.
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes of meetings (MoMs), and progress reports.
- Coordinate with project partners and stakeholders and document project updates.
- Maintain project documentation, databases, and technical resources.
- Develop communication materials such as presentations, newsletters, flyers, infographics, factsheets, standees, and backdrops.
- Support project reporting for the International Climate Initiative (IKI).
- Assist in monitoring and evaluation activities by compiling project data and operational plans.
- Update project information on internal portals, websites, newsletters, and social media platforms.
- Create and maintain project-related databases.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the Project Lead and Output Leads.
Eligibility
- Postgraduate degree (M.Tech, M.Sc., Master's, or equivalent) in: Electrical Engineering Renewable EnergyEnergy EconomicsPower Systems Or a related engineering discipline
- Candidates currently pursuing postgraduate studies or those who completed their postgraduate degree within the last six months are eligible to apply.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of renewable energy and energy storage concepts.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Practical knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools will be an added advantage.
- Candidates must be available for at least 20 weeks.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and stakeholder-driven environment.
- Interest in clean energy, sustainability, and climate action.
